Winona Ryder looks incredible in a low-cut dress at Stranger Things 2 premiere in Los Angeles

Publish date: 2024-05-21

STRANGER Things star Winona Ryder looked a far cry from her bumbling troubled mum character as she flashed her cleavage in a very busty black dress at the premiere for the show's second series.

The actress, who plays Joyce Byers, simply sizzled in her flowing floor-length gown and made sure to vamp up the sex factor further with a splash of red lipstick.

Winona, 45, showed her teenage co-stars just how to combine saucy attire with sophistication as she posed on the red carpet in LA.

The Hollywood star pulled her brunette locks into a cute high ponytail and lined her eyes with black kohl to highlight her natural beauty.

Seemingly apprehensive at hogging the spotlight, Winona grinned nervously before bursting into a full smile.

She then shared the camera time with co-star Noah Schnapp, who plays her on-screen son Will.

Dressed in a leather jacket and bright red trousers, he was unmissable as he rushed up to give her a hug.

They later beamed as they enjoyed a cuddle.

The second instalment of the hit online show was broadcast at 8am today and left fans in a frenzy as they clamoured to get the update on Eleven's adventures in the Upside Down world.

Meanwhile Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven on-screen, debuted a sleek bob hairstyle as she headed to the same premiere.

The British actress, 13, styled her brown hair in a straight, shoulder-length style as she joined her co-stars who also included Gaten Matarazzo at the Westwood Village Theatre.

Bubbly Millie wore a buttoned up leather dress and flashed peace signs at the camera as she posed for pictures on the black carpet.

She looked thrilled to be reunited with her castmates, smiling brightly and hugging Gaten tightly.

Meanwhile yesterday Millie was left terrified earlier in the day as a mysterious cloaked figure burst into her interview during a chat with Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold.

The Netflix star repeatedly screamed in fear - knocking her co-star Noah Schnapp's Rubix cube in the process and leaving him infuriated.

The entertainment reporter was grilling the brunette about spoilers for Stranger Things' second series, which starts tomorrow.

After disclosing details about the new monster which "looks like a giant spider" Millie quizzed him about when the interview was due to air on the ITV breakfast show, so as not to give away too much.

As Richard began to reply, a ominous hooded figure dressed all in black and with his face covered appeared from behind him, causing the star to squeal and moan: "Oh my God! I don't like it, who is it?" after bursting off her chair.

A clearly stunned Richard did exactly the same, covering his mouth with his hands.

Raging at show producers he said: "Oh my god - I am 47 years old, this is heart attack territory."

Turning to Millie, he added: "You are dead to me, no pun intended."

Noah, who plays Will Byers in the online series, was completely unflappable.

He was more irked Millie had jolted his 80s toy during her leap, and told her: "I was so focused on it, and you were like waahh!".

Meanwhile GMB producers posted a clip of the action to Twitter with the apology: "Sorry @milliebbrown for giving you such a fright... but it was worth it for @RichardAArnold's reaction, no?

Prior to her shock, Millie let slip a few spoilers about the main monster in Stranger Things 2's underworld.

She told the show: "It's definitely powerful.

"It's got legs - it looks like a giant spider but it isn't one."

Meanwhile this week, The Sun Online exclusively reported a never-before-seen teaser clip of the cast's mission to track down Eleven in parallel universe, The Upside Down.

The new exclusive clip from the second series of the show, Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) is seriously grilled as to her whereabouts.

The clip sees Mike protest: "I don't know where she is. And even if I did, I'd never tell you."

The action cuts to an outside shot of Mike's house surrounded by police cars.

A woman's voice is heard saying: "I know it's difficult to accept. But she's a very dangerous individual.

"If she contacts you, you must tell us or else you'll be putting yourself and your entire family at risk.

Mike's attention is then caught by something outside the window where he sees a glimpse of Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) standing behind the curtain.

Meanwhile, a new exclusive picture from the series shows a furious-looking Eleven with curly hair out in the woods.

Another pic features new character Max - played by Sadie Sink  - who recently moved to Hawkins from San Diego, while there are also shots of the gang looking worried while peering down at something sinister.

The new series  - available on Netflix on Friday - sees the town again besieged by the supernatural tentacled monster which abducted Will Byers.

The latest trailer for Stranger Things 2 - released earlier this month -  revealed that Will - rescued from alternative dimension The Upside Down at the end of last season - is getting visions of the monster sparking concern from mum Joyce (Winona Ryder).

Whatever happens, it's likely that fans won't see things wrapped up this time round.

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer recently revealed they hope to do another four series of the show.

They told Radio Times: "It’s not wrapped up this season – there’s too much to deal with. "Hopefully there will be at least four more [series], but I think there’s going to come a point where we start stretching credulity.

"Where you say, ‘Hey, why aren’t these people leaving town?’ I think we’ll know when to quit."
