The new Blackberry KEYone goes on sale TODAY for 499 at one very prestigious London location
A NEW Blackberry smartphone has gone on sale in the UK today, but you'll have to head to central London to get your hands on one.
The BlackBerry KEYone is now being sold exclusively in Selfridges, the world famous department store.

Blackberry season: Here's what to expect from the new smartphone
- Build quality: The KEYone "combines a sleek aluminum frame and soft grip textured back built to offer the best in durability".
- Software: It runs Android 7.1 Nougat, giving users access to the entire Google Play store and apps.
- Keyboard: The iconic physical keyboard "goes beyond typing" and features a variety of shortcuts, including commands which can be used to scroll through web pages or take pictures.
- Battery: The new BlackBerry KEYone offers roughly 26 hours of "mixed use" using its 3505mAh battery.
- Camera: A 12MP rear camera with an "industry leading camera sensor that captures sharp, crisp photos in any light" as well as an 8MP front camera with fixed focus and 84-degree wideangle lens.
The smartphone can be picked up from Selfridges' home and tech department for £499.
However, the rest of the country will be able to get their hands on the phone when it goes on sale at Carphone Warehouse stores nationwide starting on May 5.
Johnathan Young, UK country manager for BlackBerry Mobile, said “We are delighted to launch the BlackBerry KEYone first in the UK with Selfridges.
"Selfridges, voted world’s best department store three times consecutively have been a longtime supporter of BlackBerry."

“We want to congratulate BlackBerry Mobile on the UK launch of the BlackBerry KEYone,” said Bosse Myhr, director of technology, home and menswear at Selfridges.
“We are thrilled to be the first UK retailer to offer customers the BlackBerry KEYone at our flagship Oxford Street store and provide them with a premium smartphone that aligns with their unique and discerning style.”
The phone will be manufactured by a firm called TCL Communication.
Last year, Blackberry announced that it will no longer manufacture its own smartphones after a rollercoaster 14 years in the business.
