YouTube hate preacher Ahmad Musa Jibril idolised by London Bridge attack ringleader and who spouts v
His lectures have been criticised for turning into angry rants about Western crimes against Muslims and he peppered his talk with invectives against Shi’a Muslims and called on God to turn Jewish children into orphans.
From his home in Michigan, the convicted fraudster produces Internet lectures that advocate a Salafist version of Islam that praises jihad, although he doesn’t specifically call upon his followers to join jihadi groups.
He has directly praised Syrian rebels, comparing them to those fighting on behalf of Islam in the religion’s early days.
In one YouTube sermon he says: "When your brothers in Syria speak, everyone today needs to shut their mouth and listen, because they're proving themselves to be real men."
Within hours of the death in Syria of Ifthekar Jaman, from Portsmouth, Jibril sent a message of condolence via a series of direct messages on Twitter to a member of his family.
One message read: "I didn't know him [Ifthekar] but when I read of him today it made me weep, may Allah be with you and may Allah grant him ferdous [the highest level of paradise]!
A 2014 report by the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) found that Jibril “adopts the role of a cheerleader: supporting the principles of armed opposition to Assad.”
In April 2014, ICSR researchers found that 60 percent of foreign fighters in Syria followed Jibril on Twitter.

His followers have primarily joined al-Qaeda-affiliated groups, but some have joined ISIS as well, the report reverals.
He has been in direct contact with several foreign fighters and families of deceased fighters and “bridges the gap” for Westerners who may not understand Arabic, according to Shiraz Maher, one of the study’s co-authors.
Jibril “provides the political and theological justification” and “comfort” to jihadists, according to ICSR director Peter Neumann.
Jibril’s Twitter account, @ahmadmusajibril, has more than more than 33,000 followers. His Facebook page, under the name Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril, has more than 240,000 likes, although he has not updated it since July 2014.
